(cartoon from www.sileas.wordpress.com)
This editorial cartoon is reflecting the current situation that Palestine is under. At the far right there is a man with the word "Arab World", and he is representing the other Arabian countries. On the left you can see a jail cell with a door shaped like Israel flag. As you look under the door there is a man that is meant to represent Palestine who is screaming "HELP". However, the man on the right receives funds and aids from the U.S. government only replies "I can't hear you". (US government is an important ally with Israel) The message of this editorial cartoon is that Palestine is in a very frustrated and dismal situation where all the other Arab countries abandoned it because they received benefits from the US government. Without the help of any other countries Palestine will only suffer from long-term destruction and bully from Israeli army and their settlement plan, a plan that demands more and more lands from Palestine.
The cartoon does effectively reflects the point and it does take a stand in the real life event. In my editorial article section there is reference of how Palestine has to suffer from isolation while Israel has backup from its allies. The "US fund" in the editorial cartoon can be seen as how the US government helps Israel and cares lesser about Palestine. The Israel-shaped jail door also shows how Palestine is isolated from rest of the world because of occupied areas.
